Stepping into the Spotlight

Happy fall! We're now into my busy season and I've got tons to share! Art on the Green took place this past saturday after being rescheduled due to the nor'easter that came through on the original date. Despite that, I ended up really enjoying the show. Personally I think I would have liked a better booth location, i.e. right in the middle of things, but I still had great traffic to my booth with good sales and I was able to promote my upcoming solo exhibit to a lot of people. It was really cool having the opportunity to share and talk about my art with new people and get realtime reactions. My new coloring book was a hit and I'm excited to see what people do with their copies.

Up next is my solo exhibition at Parastudy in just a couple of weeks! I still have a couple of pieces to finish but the ones I have completed so far have come out even better than I imagined. This exhibit will really be a labor of love and my biggest art challenge yet but it will be so worth it in the end.

I'm also excited to share that I will have my working showing in another exhibition taking place this November. This exhibit will be a group collective titled Earth • Body • Spirit. I, along with 7 other artists, will create three original works, one inspired by Earth, one by Body, and one by Spirit. The result will be 24 completely different interpretations of three things we all share. I will have more details on this show coming soon so stay tuned to my socials for updates on that.

Thanks so much for joining me this month! I'm looking forward to sharing my recap all about my solo exhibit next month! :)

September Highlights

Here's an exclusive look at the first featured piece in my solo exhibit! I love that I was able to really capture the vividness of the mandarinfish and its surrounding reef.

I used acrylic paint markers to paint this lil guy on a 3"x3" panel as part of the originals on offer at Art on the Green. He did sell but I will be making stickers of him because he was very popular :)

This yellowfin tuna was another original that was on offer at the fair. It will be on display at my solo exhibit as well but I'm also considering maybe making a print or bookmark of it.

September 2026 Edition End of Summer Musings I feel like August was simultaneously too short but also a really long month. I made really good progress with my projects despite work commitments and a family trip but I do wish there was more time so that I would be further along with some things. But I recognize life gets in the way sometimes and I have to give myself grace when that happens and just keep it moving. My biggest project update is that my coloring book is officially done! I got my...

August 2026 Edition Finding the medium-hard difficulty Earlier this year I took some workout sessions with a personal trainer and something she said has stuck in my head and really changed my viewpoint on things. Whenever I was starting an exercise she would always remind me to check in on how I was feeling and ask myself how hard the exercise felt to me. The goal was to make sure I'm in a place where it's feels like it's medium-hard, not super hard where I burn out and cant complete the full...

July 2026 Edition POV My desk currently The Summer of Prepping We're halfway through the year and I feel like I've accomplished so much but there's still even more to get done. My summer will have a lot of prepping and creating since I have some exciting things happening in the fall. First thing is I will have a booth at Art on The Green on September 26! Its a bigger show than the first one I did this year and it takes place at a park I like to hang out and sketch in frequently so it feels...
